1 in 3 people in the UK would like to design and build their own home and the government recognises the social, economic and carbon benefits of this.
Through custom build planning policy, enacted on large development sites (typically 100 units or more) a market of 10,000 additional new homes a year is being established with a potential value of £4bn.
Responding to these conditions, XERA is developing a software as a service (SaaS) platform to enable volume housebuilders to deliver custom build homes at scale.
The SaaS platform called X-IST uses digital twin technology to digitalise the sale, design and delivery of customised homes to deliver this volume, in partnership with existing housebuilders and their delivery models.
X-IST will provide an Extended Reality environment for purchasers to configure their new home, using customised Digital Twin engine to store design specifications, cost and carbon information in the cloud.
Using API integrations, the customer choices are communicated to the housebuilder, reducing the sales, specification and conveyancing timeline significantly. Each Digital Twin remains accessible, capturing occupation carbon and energy data.
The X-IST solution is at proof of concept TRL3 stage and we are actively seeking seed investment, with a follow-on plan for Series A in 2 years, to support technology systems, market penetration and growth.
With the backing of existing and new investors we will bring forward custom building at scale, setting us apart from other more conventional developer, home builder and enabling models in the UK.
To leverage our expertise and values to develop innovative, sustainable technology solutions that facilitate the digital delivery of zero carbon custom build homes at scale.
To foster sustainable business growth and increase shareholder value through our commitment to sustainability and response to climate emergency.
